2007, June 1st - Support for SQL Server Report Services (SSRS)

Meta Integration is currently developing new MIMB bridges to support:

  • Microsoft SQL Server Report Services (SSRS)
  • Microsoft SQL Server Multidimensional Expressions (MDX)
  • 2007, June 1st - Support for SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) with DTSX

    Meta Integration version 5.2 supports the import/export of Data Integration (DI) metadata
    in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Packages DTSX Files (Data Transformation Services XML).
    Meta Integration supports the DTSX metadata for data sources, data targets, and data lineage of transformations.

    Meta Integration version 5.1 supports the import of Business Intelligence (BI) metadata
    from XML for Analysis (XMLA) on Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
    Meta Integration supports the XMLA metadata lineage in Queries and Calculations.

    2006, March 28th - Support for Metadata Editing and Analysis Using Excel

    Meta Integration version 5.0 supports the import/export of various data modeling, data integration, or business intelligence metadata with Microsoft Office Excel. Indeed, Excel is often used by engineers and consultants to capture, edit, or analyse business and technical metadata for the enterprise data stores, or their data integration mappings.

    2005, July 18th - Support for SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) with DSO

    Meta Integration version 4.2 supports the import of Business Intelligence (BI) metadata
    from Decision Support Objects (DSO) COM API on Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
    Meta Integration supports the DSO metadata for On Line Analytical Processing (OLAP), including the cubes, the dimensions, and the parsing of expressions for metadata lineage.

    The Professional Association for SQL Server (SQLPASS) is an independent user group tagged as "The Definitive Global Community for SQL Server Professionals".

    Their DW/BI Newsletter Volume 1, Issue 5 June 2004 issue includes:

      Bill Baker heads the Data Warehouse Product Unit within the SQL Server product development group. His team designs and develops the Microsoft Analysis Services, Data Transformation Services, Data Mining technologies, the Microsoft Repository, SQL Server Admin tools and Microsoft English Query that ship with Microsoft SQL Server.

    from ActiveX Data Objects - Multi Dimensional (ADO-MD) / OLE DB for OLAP (ODBO) COM API on Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services
    Meta Integration supports the DSO metadata for On Line Analytical Processing (OLAP), including the cubes, the dimensions, and the parsing of expressions for metadata lineage.

    2003, October 24th - Support for SQL Server Data Source View (DSV)

    Meta Integration version 4.0 supports metadata import/export of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Data Source View (DSV) XML files used to define:

  • the relational models of ETL sources and targets for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Integration Services
  • the relational and dimensional models of BI sources for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services

    2000, March 3d - Support for SQL Server Meta Data Services (MDS)

    Meta Integration joins the Meta Data Coalition (MDC) as a contributing member.

    Meta Integration provides early implementations of the MDC standard for the Microsoft Repository version 3.x known as SQL Server 2000 Meta Data Services (MDS) MDS was part of SQL Server 2000 Data Transformation Services (DTS), and is now deprecated in SQL Server 2005.

    1999, July 20th - Support for SQL Server Repository

    Meta Integration partners with the Microsoft SQL Server group, as an early implementor of Microsoft metadata integration solutions. On July 20th, 1999, Meta Integration releases MIMB v2.3.0 with support for the Open Information Model (OIM) metamodel and the XML Interchange Format (XIF) for the Microsoft Repository version 2.x.
